It’s my birthday! I woke up early thinking about all the details of our trip, and Lover and I laid in bed and talked for a while. Then he gave me my card and present – steak strips and chocolate covered raisins! YUM.
The kids got right to work on special cards while I worked on cleaning out our bathroom and we started moving things down to the basement. We spent a good portion of today packing up things from every room, listing items on Facebook marketplace, and going up and down the stairs a million times!
Lover and I stored all of our trim wood up in the rafters in the garage, and Lover got a Wi-Fi hot spot and car top carrier today. He also volunteered for a bit at the food pantry, and went out and got me breakfast and lunch. We videoed with my parents and updated them on our plans. They were surprised and excited! I got a fast food breakfast and lunch from Gyroz! Yummy!
After lunch we paused for ice cream cake and singing. It was too windy outside, so we had to take the cake inside. The kids wanted me to have a group of three candles and then six candles, since we didn’t have 36 candles! 🙂 Declan sang (you live in a zoo, you look like a monkey during the regular song, so funny!) It was nice hearing from everyone today, and getting little cards and texts and emails throughout the day. So fun.
In the afternoon I met up with girlfriends at a park and we chatted for a few hours. It was nice to relax and hang out with them after such a busy day. Then I headed back home, we did dinner and bedtime, and got some laundry done before it was time for bed! A busy but fun day!
