Once it was time to check out of our motel, we headed to a nearby attraction – The Old Mill. It was the first result when Lover searched for places for us to hang out while we waited for him to finish work, and that’s where we landed.
It was shockingly beautiful! I was so pleasantly surprised. It was like a place straight out of a fairytale. Apparently it was used in the opening scenes of Gone with the Wind. We all enjoyed exploring the pretty little paths and bridges while Lover worked. Javi climbed everywhere, and we fed the ducks, geese and turtles the last of our bread. They were clearly very used to being fed, and very pushy! Thankfully, no one got hurt, and we enjoyed a couple of really nice hours while we waited for Lover to finish up.
Then we drove the rest of the way to Rogers, AK and checked into our Airbnb. It’s lovely, private and clean, and ours for the next eight days! We settled in, did some grocery shopping, and made dinner. After dinner we texted our friends here and made plans for the next day, and then that was pretty much it! We were wiped out from our trip here, and we are looking forward to being in one place for the next week!
