I snuck back to Carolyn’s house in the morning to have breakfast just her and I. She showed me a beautiful scrapbook our church had made for her, and a book of poems published by a friend, and we chatted and enjoyed a beautiful brunch on her patio. We spent some time in prayer, and then I headed back to collect everyone so we could drive to Wisconsin!
We stopped in a little town in Wisconsin so Lover could take a work call, the kids played on the playground and I wrote and emailed about the audiobook. I’m super impressed with Lana – she’s taking direction very well and improving very rapidly. I love an open minded person!
We found our Airbnb without any problems, and it’s cute! So glad we have a nice home base for the next eight days! It’s a 1920s bungalow, and it’s so beautiful inside. The kids are really enjoying all of the games and toys and things that the owners left for them to play with. We unloaded, settled in, and enjoyed a quiet evening. Tomorrow I pick up my rental car and we part ways for two days!
