I woke up Monday morning FINALLY feeling better, and got right to work! Lover and I worked on the plot lines for books 3 and 4 over breakfast and while I cleaned the kitchen and made bread. It really needed some attention, and I got it looking spic and span in no time. Well, in some time. π My nesting bug has started to hit hard, so I’ll randomly see things that “really really need to be cleaned” and it was nice to feel good enough to get some of those things taken care of!
Then I laid down for a quick nap while Lover supervised bathtime. The littles really needed a bath, and they looked and smelled much better! π The kids are off of school for a couple of weeks, so they’ve been enjoying more time to play, craft and read their books! Everyone needed the break. Keilana made a whole suit of armor from the cardboard boxes in the garage, complete with a see-thru visor! So creative! I loved watching it evolve. Declan also made a partial suit, but he got distracted before he finished.
We videoed with my parents, and then I got to work getting caught up on recaps. I was way, way, behind! I worked on them for most of the afternoon, with the exception of a break to make and then deliver chicken noodle soup to friends of ours who aren’t feeling well. What can’t be cured with chicken noodle soup and fresh bread! Funnily enough, another friend also brought over soup, so we joked that they would need to do a taste test and let us know who is the winner! π We also returned our friends’ dolly to them that they so graciously lent us for our appliance debacle, and dropped off a package. We sold another part for the first stove that died – we’ve made quite a bit of money off of that defunct appliance!
After we got back home, Lover and I went for a walk, while the kids played games. They asked us to leave again and let them play – I guess they were enjoying the break! π Then I worked on recaps while everyone played and Lover cleaned the kitchen again. How does a kitchen always get dirty so quickly?? I guess with everyone home and eating so much, it’s inevitable! I worked for another couple of hours on recaps and then we looked for the star and the kids played some more until bedtime. They’ve all been sleeping together since Christmas and are so happy about that, if a bit sleep deprived. But they’re having a blast being all crammed back into one room! π Lover and I watched another episode of the Crown, but it’s getting so slow and depressing it’s been hard to stick with it. Afterwards we tried out a show called The New Legends of Monkey. It was really silly, but kind of entertaining at the same time! π
