Spanish Tortilla, packing and a River Cruise! ~ July 24, 2020

Friday morning once I was awake and functioning I started working on making tortilla. Cassandra wanted to help, so she was in charge of pulling the potatoes out of the bag and handing them to me. 🙂 We ended peeling all five pounds, and making two big tortillas. While they cooked, I video called with my parents in Spain. It was nice to catch up with them and chat about the last few weeks.

The tortillas looked delicious, and we (I) ended up not being able to wait till dinnertime to eat them. And sure enough, they were delicious! 🙂 We did some more packing and the kids started cleaning up ALL the toys they had been playing with all throughout the week. Then I watched a terrible reality show that I’ve been watching with my friends, and then headed out to the marina!

Tio showed up, and after waiting a bit, we realized that no one else was coming, so we headed out! This time we stuck to the river, instead of heading out on the lake, and it was much more peaceful. It was also very interesting to watch the other boaters go by, and look at all the buildings in downtown Milwaukee. So pretty! We ended up getting lucky at the liftbridges, there was a big boat coming by that had scheduled a lift, so we were able to sneak underneath with them and float a lot further down the river. Javi did a lot of the driving and he loved blasting the horn at the bridges.

We hung out, ate good food, and chatted. No swimming today, but it was all very relaxing and everybody had a great time. When we got back to the marina, Tio blew up his little inflatable motorized raft, and Lover and the three big kids took it out for a spin. They had such a good time, and it was fun watching them zip around! A great last day on the boat!
