It’s hard to believe that fourteen years ago, we were getting married in a pretty little church in Brockport, New York! It’s been a wild, crazy, wonderful life together. We’ve moved five times, driven probably 100,000 miles together, taken countless trips, had four kids (and another on the way), tried out all kinds of business ideas, changed jobs a bunch of times, renovated three houses, never owned a pet, wrote a book together, and so many other adventures. 🙂 Lover, I wouldn’t trade a minute of any of it!
Wednesday was our “down day”. We didn’t make any plans until evening. Nana and Papa came over for a bit, but they mostly played with the kids. I took care of some life stuff, wrote and worked on recaps, took a nap, worked out… all fun and relaxing things.
Then in the evening we drove to Carbone’s in Hilton and picked up pizza to bring over to my aunt and uncle’s. We spent the evening with them and Katie and Callie, swimming and eating pizza and Chicken Caesar salad. (of course!) Watching four year old Callie swim around like a fish inspired our kids, and by the end of the night, Javi, KK and Declan all shed their floaties and were swimming right alongside her! They had a blast, tired themselves right out, and we had a great evening of food and conversation! Uncle Mark and Aunt Linda used to watch our kids every Thursday evening so we could get a date night, and that started a habit that we’ve maintained as much as possible ever since then! We love them!
