Today was a busy day of sorting and cleaning, cooking up delicious food, and lots of writing and brainstorming for our new book idea! I made a new batch of carnitas, and I’m really happy with the way I’ve been nailing this recipe. It’s all I ever want to eat anymore!
Also, you can’t really tell in this picture, but I think my hair is starting to adjust to the natural shampoo I’ve been trying out for the last week or so. It’s brought back a lot of the curl and oils in my hair, and hopefully it is something that will work in the long term!
I’ve been reading more of my book, Storyteller, to Javi. We are almost done and the chapters are so exciting right now! He knows I finished the first draft of the second book, but he’s going to have to wait a while to read it since I still have a bunch of revisions to do. Good thing I’ve started this other book or I’d be tempted to obsess about book 2 and it really needs to just percolate for a while so I can back to it with fresh eyes!
Keilana and I went to the store to shop for birthday presents for Cassandra. We agreed that we don’t enjoy wearing the face masks out in public! They’re hot and stuffy. 🙁 Tomorrow is C’s 3rd birthday!
