(Day 6) It’s funny to me, after a full and scheduled day, the kids often spend the next day very much on their own terms. The bigs woke up today and immediately immersed themselves in craft making in our loft. I’ve been saving a few things – toilet paper rolls, egg cartons, etc and placing

(Day 5): Today was the first day I woke up and things felt relatively normal! Having the shelter in place order go into effect was a relief of sorts – it’s no longer looming over us. Now we just start figuring out how to do life like this. We got the kids their breakfast and
Saturday: (Day 3) We are trying to do a few things to distinguish our weekends from our weeks. On Saturdays the kids get their own breakfast of cereal, and get to watch shows for a while in the morning while we stay in bed! It’s especially nice right now while we don’t have date night!

Day 1 of Shelter In Place! It’s such a strange feeling how quiet and slow everything is right now. No rushing traffic if we open our windows, only a few cars. That said, there are more people than ever walking around our neighborhood! While practicing social distancing, of course. 🙂 Lover and I joked today
I learned a new phrase today; “Cancel Culture”. As in, EVERYTHING IS CANCELED! Lover’s suggestion, which I love, is to cancel coronavirus. Today we got official confirmation that our shelter in place mandate begins tomorrow at 8am. So, at 7:30am I will be dancing in the streets with all my closest friends! Not really, obviously.
We chatted with our neighbor a bit this evening. He is really enjoying the slower pace of life and the extra time with his kids, which was really heartwarming to hear. We did a video chat with my parents this morning after chores and schoolwork was done. It’s nice to have so much time available to talk to them, and my dad is always there too which is a rare treat! Temperatures are rising, and that means the snow is melting and the yard is muddy!
