Monday morning was the first day of our new two parent schedule! Lover rode his bike in the morning early, and then we got the kids started on their day. We all ate breakfast burritos together, supervised chores, and then did some schoolwork. Javi worked on an assignment from his music class, and Keilana worked […]

We all got up, fed and dressed and walked to church. It was a lovely September morning walk, and then it was so nice to see everyone and be welcomed home at our church! We dropped the kids off at their Sunday school classes; they were so excited to go to their classes again after

Saturday we slept in while the kids watched shows and had cereal. I think this is one of the more brilliant things we have come up with as parents! We are soaking up all our lazy Saturdays before the baby comes. 🙂 After breakfast and a couple of hours of reading, we took the kids

Friday was our first official sabbatical day, and it felt like a vacation! Although we got quite a lot done, so maybe it was more like a work from home day 🙂 We cleaned the house, gave all the kids haircuts, and had a yummy lunch. I baked bread, and we opened up a package

Lover purposely made sure his last day was the day BEFORE his birthday, so that our first day of the sabbatical could be a double celebration! In true Lover style, he wanted a simple celebration and to spend the day with his family. We had breakfast burritos for, well, breakfast, and they were super yummy.

Day 2 of our chilly weather, so we lit more candles, baked more goodies, and just generally enjoyed the coziness of our house. I made my favorite ginger molasses cookies, and after they set up in the fridge for a bit, the kids rolled them in sugar and we baked them up and took the

Living in Colorado is always an adventure! The temperature dropped 60 degrees in less than 24 hours. We woke up to very cold rain, and by the end of the day it had turned into snow. We didn’t get nearly as much snow as the rest of our area (some got ten inches or more!)

Life Group! ~ September 7, 2020

Our morning was spent getting everything ready for our life group to come over. It got hot right away, but we kept the house closed up and it wasn’t too bad inside. The kids didn’t seem to mind today, even though the sky was overcast all day from the fires in Fort Collins. We cooked

Calvary Church ~ September 6, 2020

Sunday morning we planned to go to Calvary Chapel’s 10:45 service, so we had an easy morning. We got everyone ready, I did some stretches and yoga (I was sore from the yard work the day before!) and we had a leisurely breakfast. Then we headed to the church and got the littles checked into

A Second Date Night! ~ September 5, 2020

Lover and I worked on getting our back yard presentable again in the morning before it got too hot. There were some REALLY bid weeds back there! We pulled weeds, threw out trash, and just generally cleaned things up. Our backyard will never be picture perfect, but it’s at least looking like someone lives here
